MARC-ANTOINE DECAVÈLE
PainterMarc-Antoine Decavèle was born in 1981. He graduated from the Paris school of fine art in 2005, at which time he also studied literature at the Collège de France. His paintings possess the kind of fragility that demands attention. The substance is not there to precisely reproduce a specific state of mind but rather to reproduce a state of mind’s indeterminacy. Through this his work attempts to combine substance with intensity and reunite intelligence with sensitivity. The observer finds themselves in the heart of the visible, somewhere between illumination and falling. On the subject of his work Sébastien Hoët has written: “It is no longer a case of “making visible” as Klee stated, but of allowing the invisible to emerge from inside the visible. ” Exhibition ART PARIS ART FAIR in 2018,2019 and 2020 with Valérie Eymeric
