‘Apparition’ is a striking work of reflection on the human condition. It is a sensory experience that goes beyond mere physical reality, inviting us to explore the deepest dimensions of human existence. In these canvases, red and black, used in bold, contrasting ways, awaken in us a kind of intense emotional tension, which these white gaps accentuate by drawing us back into a dynamic void. Facing us, creased and crumpled, these fragments coexist in a precarious balance where each fold reveals a memory, a passage, a moment. These colours, shapes and textures are harmonised to create a visual symphony that is both complex and contradictory, with each nuance becoming a subtle note that adds to the richness of the whole.
