The ceramics of Elpom will echo the blues of Decavèle

VIRGINIE POMMEL aka ELPOM, ceramic artist.Born in 1979 in Strasbourg, she lives and works in Lyon.At the frontier of art and design, Elpom captures the moment present in his objects.An engineer turned artist, she oscillates between a scientific approach of experimentation and a letting go with matter.The dialogue of his hands with the clay is guided by the will to tell a story. It takes shape and grows with the pieces of the same corpus. Vases, cups, ceramic paintings, volumes, containers. Organic pieces that give a physical form to an inner journey and a rediscovered serenity.After a long expatriation in Germany, in 2020 Virginie Pommel installed in Lyon her ceramic workshop Elpom Ceramics Studio, a place of sharing, transmission and creation around clay material.She participated in the 1000VASES international exhibitions, dedicated to the vase object, in 2020 in Paris at the Joseph Gallery and in 2021 in Milan, during the Milan Design Week.
