Cabinet of extravagances | Nicolas Pégon

The artist brings together motifs, themes, characters, periods and atmospheres. Using compressed charcoal, Nicolas Pégon, a virtuoso in his field, reproduces photographic images that are heterogeneous (a manga character rubs shoulders with an antique figure), realistic (his depiction of human skin is sublime) or of his own creation (he likes to build little huts that he sets on fire to better sketch them, for example).
