Interval | Grègór Belibi Minya
“Interval” is a transdisciplinary project that explores, through a multi-sensory experience, the theme of intimacy, symbolism, indeterminacy and transformation. The exhibition unfolds like a cartography, a representation of those frontier zones where the distinctions between the real and the imaginary become blurred, giving way to a reflection on the fragmentation of existence and the impermanence of forms.
Structured in three acts – the house, the forest, the cave – this project invites you to explore spaces that are both real – albeit suggested – and metaphorical, where essential dialectics play out: the visible and the invisible, the material and the ephemeral, the interior and the exterior. Each place thus becomes a space of memory or a space of revelation, manifesting at every moment the quest for meaning and the constant evolution that gives rhythm to Grègór’s practice. This exhibition stands as a poetics of spaces, where each place, far from being a mere setting, becomes a performative agent that participates in the aesthetic experience. Spaces are explored through a synesthetic approach, combining visual and sound works that question the perception of time, space and the self.
The three acts follow one another like chapters in a journey of initiation: the house, the forest, the cave. These places unfold like thresholds to be crossed, spaces of passage, of confrontation with the unknown. These spaces become fragments, as if frozen, of a reality in constant evolution. Past, present and future are superimposed to offer a non-linear experience in which these different temporal strata coexist, creating rhythms, resonances and silences that trace the contours of a reflection on impermanence and transformation.
