Lyon in colour | Frédéric Wioland
The artist, by trade, is a coral fisherman. He can find them in the most unlikely places, from bouquets of flowers to remote corners of houses in the Corbières. But his best catches are undoubtedly on the roofs of Lyon.
To capture this colour, he had to get up high. He has brought a little order and rectitude to this rebellious and willingly unruly city. As a result, the perspectives he offers us appear simple and fluid, as if an air of freedom and cheerfulness were flowing through the city’s streets from one step to the next. Through the magic of shapes and the play of nuances, we witness the denouement of this age-old intrigue. Then everything makes sense, and the true layout of the capital is revealed in all its beauty, a secret harmony organised through successive redevelopments.
