In front of the landscape | Komili by Le Petit Bulletin
Like snapshots of abandoned places, Komili’s paintings invite contemplation between the blue and green gradations of the vegetation and the yellow, orange, brick-red, ochre and white tones of the concrete, creating an alchemy of the tangible and the imaginary.
Our verdict: Face au paysage reveals a subtle reflection on the intertwining of the built world and wild nature. Using a documentary approach, the artist captures changing or abandoned sites, where humans and vegetation seem to coexist in poetic ambiguity. Her canvases, adorned in warm, sunny hues, sketch out places where architecture blends into a landscape that nature, in a slow, inexorable gesture, reclaims. Far from frontal opposition, Komili exposes the fragile harmony between the elements, highlighting the transience of places and moments.
