For his second exhibition at Valérie Eymeric, Frédéric Galliano has decided to present a significant sample of his research into “baroque spaces”. Taking watercolor and oil pastel drawings and pasting them onto wood, the Grenoble-born artist creates flat sculptures, solitary, self-sufficient “monads” floating in the large room on rue Comte. Profoundly philosophical, his artistic approach traverses the history of thought and art, through a sinuous, undulating movement, embodying the force lines of Baroque sculpture and vitalist reflection.
