Through fragments, a subtle mapping of the landscape runs through the works like a reminiscence. The gathering of subtle clues from reality gives rise to forms that stem less from representation than from the fragment, the trace and displacement.
The landscapes that emerge remain latent, held back by a chromatic restraint and areas of indeterminacy. The gaze wanders without being able to immediately fix what it sees, as if the forms were suspended in a state of limbo.
The works thus open up threshold spaces, where inner landscapes, diffuse memories and traces still active beneath the surface of the visible come to the fore. A residual warmth pervades the exhibition: a discreet energy imbued in the images, materials and surfaces.
Echoing the 2026 Lyon Biennale, the exhibition conceives of the threshold as a space where forms of memory and states of transformation—usually invisible—become perceptible. It focuses on what appears in the interstices: forms in transition, fragmentary presences, vestiges. The works form a collection of fragments and lingering traces in which the landscape becomes the site of a sensory perception, somewhere between memory and apparition.”
