The Nymphs’ Lair – The Water of Dreams

From the depths of their mystery, the nymphs embody the vitality of nature, revealing its dancing nature.

From this point, the idea is to give a tangible presence to the process of crystallisation brought about by the nymphs. That state of limbo in which form and matter remain unresolved. The mother-of-pearl or mist of the nymphs as a suspension between two different things.

These tensions are manifold: between the imagination and memory, between stillness and movement, between sleep and wakefulness, between image and reality, between metamorphosis and spectrality, between gesture and apparition, between the living and myth…

This new series, “The Nymphs’ Lair”, subtitled “The Water of Dreams”, seeks to engage with space as a fluid materiality. Is this fluidity the materiality of dreams?
